EBD Primary Teacher - Required in Salisbury

We are currently looking for a Qualified Primary Teacher for a supply role from September 2017 through to December 2017.

The Role

You will be working with upper KS2 students with EBD, covering subjects across the curriculum. You will be required to work 5 days a week.

The School

Based in Salisbury, the school is an independent special school working with children who have social, emotional and mental health needs. The school is beautifully-housed in a peaceful spot to provide a safe and nurturing environment for anxious, vulnerable pupils unable to sustain a mainstream placement. Our daily plan offers a balance of academic studies, physical education and creative arts subjects; all underpinned by our therapeutic ethos. Children are taught in small groups or on a one to one basis.

The primary classroom is newly-refurbished and provides a quiet but stimulating learning environment. Primary pupils also participate in Forest School building dens, cooking, playing team games and having a lot of fun.

The Candidate

The school are seeking an experienced, resilient Primary Teacher to join the Education team. They are looking for an experienced teacher who has worked in an SEN environment and can demonstrate a clear understanding of the challenges of delivering consistent, quality learning opportunities to students with higher and complex needs. The successful candidate will hold QTS as well as being able to evidence considerable experience in the following:

Working with children with Social, Emotional, Behavioural and additional needs.

Researching, planning, preparing and delivering outstanding lessons.

Developing and delivering flexible and purposeful, individualised curriculums.

Line management of Learning Support staff.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
