SEN Teacher required near Colchester

We are currently recruiting for a Special Needs School near Colchester

The School currently caters for approximately 130 young people who have complex or profound learning difficulties which may well include Autism.

They have 14 classes which all have their own computers, an interactive whiteboard and a wide assortment of sensory and interactive resources. In addition the school have a wide variety of specialist rooms and areas to support the curriculum and the children:

• Sparkle Room

• Dedicated Early Years Play Area

• Food Technology room

• Kitchen

• Library

• Medical room

• Speech and Language Therapy room

• Multi-sensory room

• Sensory Garden

• Hydrotherapy swimming pool

• Wild life area

• PaSH room for our specialist LSAs

• Soft Play Room

• Woodland boardwalk

• Outdoor Musical Area

• House in the Community for Post 16

• Early Years Garden Room

• Snoozelum

•Outdoor Adventure Playground

We are looking for individuals who have proven experience as a high quality teacher. Other attributes we are looking for are;

a teacher who can lead, develop and manage a high standard of provision for pupils with SEND

Have a positive and inspirational approach with a real passion for making a difference

Can motivate, challenge and enthuse children with special educational needs in a creative and nurturing way

Believes in inclusion and the opportunities that this can provide the whole school community

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
