Job description

Teaching Personnel are working with a primary SEN school in Templecombe, local to Wincanton and Yeovil, that are currently looking for staff to start ASAP. The school cater for Primary pupils that have been excluded or removed from mainstream school, therefore all the pupils can present challenging behaviour. Alongside this they can potentially have other needs such as:

  • Autism (ASC/ASD)
  • Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD)
  • Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties

The school are currently looking for a number of Teaching Assistants to work on a full time basis, leading to potential roles as permanent Support Assistants who would work 1:1 or in small groups with these pupils. The ideal candidate would have previous experience working with KS1 pupils and be passionate about working in this type of school. Candidates that are suited for this type of school tend to have experience in some of the following:

  • Criminology
  • Youth/Community work experience
  • SEN experience
  • Residential support/care worker
  • Sports coaching
  • Team Teach
  • Youth Offending Services
  • Challenging behaviour within family
  • Mentoring
  • Teaching/Learning support Assistance

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
