Transition Worker

Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with an Autism Specialist School in Maidenhead. They have asked us to assist in there search for a Transition Worker.

The school caters for primary and secondary pupils with Autism and associated Learning Disabilities. Experience working with children with Autism in an ABA setting or SEN School is required.

The school are looking for a Transition Worker who can work with Teachers staff and families supporting children 1:1 with statements of Autism across the spectrum. The main role is to help students transition beyond school life and in to adulthood.

Successful Transitions Workers will:

  • Provide 1:1 support to KS4 pupils with Autism.
  • Support families
  • Offer advice and guidance on post 16 opportunities
  • Career guidance to pupils and families
  • Network with post 16 providers
  • Lead a annual career event

The school are looking for staff on a part time (8.30am-16.30pm) basis but will consider

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
