SEN (Autism/ASC) Teaching Assistant Wanted!

Job description

Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit a KS3-KS4 SEN Teaching Assistant, experienced in supporting students with autism and moderate learning difficulties for a SEN school in Coventry to commence as soon as possible.

Ideally applicants would have experience with ASC and moderate learning difficulties in a SEN school setting from KS3 - KS4. Additional qualifications such as Team Teach and Autism Awareness are desired but not mandatory. We would also welcome applicants with relevant transferable skills such as Youth Workers or Support Workers as well as recent graduates.

Our ideal candidate will have:

-3 months experience supporting students with ASC and SLD in a mainstream or SEN setting between KS3 - KS4

-Experience with Team Teach, PBS or challenging behaviours

-NCFE/CACHE Level 2 Supporting and Learning in Schools or recent graduate

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
