Are you a Teaching Assistant who has experience of supporting children with SEN?

At teaching personnel we are working closely with multiple schools across the borough of Lewisham who desperately require additional SEN TAs to work supporting pupils with EHCPs. The role would be to work closely with children who have been granted Educational Health care Plans to support their additional needs. Alongside this you will be required to lead small group tasks to not only help the attainment of your key child but other pupils in the class.

Experience working with children with SEN is required with knowledge and experience of Autism, ADHD and SEMH particularly desirable. Training would be provided however the schools are ideally looking for candidates who can fill these vacancies immediately. These roles are full time (5days a week, term time only) to start in January. The successful candidates can expect to earn £300-£400 per week dependant on experience.

Requirements

  • Experience supporting children with SEN
  • Minimum A*-C Maths and English GCSE
  • 2 recent references
  • Valid child workforce DBS (on the update service) or willing to apply for one

The following would support your application;

  • Educated to degree level
  • CACHE level 3
  • Experience of ASC, ADHD or SEMH
  • Team Teach training

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
