SEMH Teaching Assistant

Job description

We are currently looking for energetic and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to join a multi-academy school in Leeds. This school is situated in the heart of Middleton and is across 3 different sites. This school boasts a large sporting facility and is easily accessible good public transport links.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will be working in classes to support the learning of pupils with Social, Emotional, Mental Health (SEMH) on a daily basis. You will be working with children aged 7-16 and you may also be required to lead 1:1 or group interventions. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting in Key Stage 2, 3 and 4.

Do you have:

  • Experience of supporting children with Special Educational Needs, Social, Emotional, Mental Health and Challenging Behaviour
  • The skills to place pupil learning at the centre of all your practice
  • The ability to make sound judgements on attainment & progress of students, assess and celebrate in their success
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to enthuse and motivate others
