Teaching Assistant - Manchester

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a Primary Pupil Referral Unit in Central Manchester. This school require a Teaching Assistant to support a pupil in year 5 with severe social, emotional and mental health difficulties. This position will be working alongside another Teaching Assistant and look at continuing until January 2018.

The setting provides part time placements to pupils experiencing behavioural difficulties in their mainstream schools and aims to return pupils to mainstream placements wherever possible. The successful Teaching Assistant must have a passion for promoting behavioural development in young people and must be able to act as a positive role model to the young people within this setting.

The school is a calm, nurturing environment and pupils are generally calm and engaged in their education.

To be considered for this role you must;

have previous experience working with young people with challenging behaviour

have a calm and caring nature

have a Team - Teach qualification

This position will require applicants to complete a trial day within the class as opposed to interview.
