Here at Teaching Personnel, we are looking for experienced behaviour support workers, residential support workers and experienced youth workers. We need these experienced individuals to work in a behavioural and SEN settings based in Somerset. This is a highly rewarding opportunity to support and progress children with Social, Emotional, Mental & Behavioural Difficulties.

The schools are looking for a passionate individual to create change and bring enthusiasm to assist pupils in their day to day learning and routines. You will have a desire to work with challenging young people and aim to make a real difference to a child’s life. We also look forward to hearing from experienced behaviour support workers who had had experience working with challenging behaviour in either education or a non educational settings. Experience of working with challenging behaviour is desirable, and any extra qualifications such as Team Teach are highly desirable.

We are looking for hard working and committed individuals who would be confident and happy working with challenging pupils in an educational setting. You must be passionate and proactive in your approach to working with young people, as this is key to successful relationships. It is essential that you have experience in the following:

• Experience working with pupils with behaviour in an education, care or residential setting

• Firm understanding of the social, emotional and mental health needs of young people

• Be resilient to the nature of the job

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
