Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit an experienced individual for employment in an established Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Bournemouth. The post is to start as soon as possible and you will be required to work during term time until the end of the academic year, with the possibility of becoming a permanent member of staff.

The school deals with pupils that are of a vulnerable and very challenging nature. You will work closely with the pupils to assist them with class work but also to support them on a daily basis in dealing with their behavioural needs.

You will have strong interpersonal skills in order to communicate with families, carers and a multidisciplinary team of teaching staff, social workers and educational psychologists. You will be organised, patient and confident, with a sound understanding of the key issues currently affecting young people.

For those successful applications you will be required to attend a Team Teach course in February unless you already hold valid certification.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
