One of the largest secondary schools in Cardiff are looking Teaching Assistants for their Special Resource Base. We are working in Partnership with this desirable school who are actively seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join the hardworking yet rewarding unit.

You will work with SEN students identified with varied Special Educational Needs on a 1:1 basis and group work. The school are looking for proactive, enthusiastic and most of all a desire to make a difference. Teaching Assistants who are looking to make a positive impact on these children will undoubtedly contribute towards a purposeful learning environment by supporting classroom teachers in teaching and learning.

Ideally, the successful candidate will have some experience of working with SEN (not essential) and will have outstanding inter-personal skills. You will need to be patient and sensitive with the ability to encourage and motivate children as well as being able to work effectively in a team. Experience of SEMH and phonic schemes will be advantageous.

There are four roles that we are aiding to recruit for starting both before the academic year end and September. All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
