An exciting opportunity for more than one Teaching Assistant has become available in one of our secondary schools in Cardiff. Teaching Personnel are working closely with this popular secondary school and are looking for passionate Teaching assistants keen for long term work starting in October and November.

We are looking for a Teaching Assistants, specialising in working with young people with special educational needs, mainly emotional and behavioral difficulties.

This is a long term supply position that could potentially start before the summer term but carrying on all of the next academic year. The school are keen to meet with potential candidates as soon as possible on a trial run basis.

This popular Cardiff secondary school aren’t looking for a one size fits all candidate, as there are a range of needs and the school welcome diversity. You will be required to potentially support a number of pupils who require specific support. Other special educational needs within the school include, Autism, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia. The school wish for the successful candidate to be able to work on a 1:1 and small group basis.

We understand that every student and every school is different and as a result we carefully match our staff with the right job.

We are looking for a behavior support assistant with:

• Broad range of SEN experience (ideal, not essential)

• Comfortable in dealing with groups of pupils (group intervention)

• Literacy and numeracy Knowledge is important

• Subject specialists could potentially help

• Will develop professional relationships with students and staff

• Will have strong behavior management, with clear boundaries.
