Teaching Assistant Bury

I am recruiting on behalf of my client, a specialist provision for young people across all age groups with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health difficulties. The provision is seeking to employ an experienced Teaching Assistant who has the flexibility to work across their secondary sites. The role will be to support young people who need crisis intervention, so having experience in these settings is essential.

The young people in this setting do struggle to engage in education and can display a range of challenging/aggressive behaviours. The role of the successful Teaching Assistant will be to intervene and diffuse the scenario before it escalates further.

The ideal Teaching Assistant for this Bury post will have previous experience of providing crisis intervention in a specialist provision for young people with social and emotional difficulties. Any relevant training such as team-teach will enhance your application.

The pay rate for this role will be £8.07 per hour.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
