Behaviour Teaching/Support/Classroom Assistant

Teaching Personnel are seeking SEN teaching assistants with knowledge of either ASD, Asperger’s and EBD to work in a Schools and settings alike in the Scarborough Area.

Are you are a Learning Support Assistant that can work with small groups; due to the severity of the needs of the clients a high staffing ratio is required.

To be considered for this position you must be able to demonstrate a sound knowledge of SEN, in particular EBD/BESD. Experience of supporting children / Adults with SEN and Behavioural Difficulties would be advantageous. The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate a keenness to learn within a specialised environment and be able to work to their own initiative, display support that it second to none and use behavioural management techniques to de-escalate unpredictable situations calmly. A Team Teach qualification or other Intervention training would be an advantage but not essential.
