Behaviour TA Needed in Wakefield

Teaching Personnel are looking for a dedicated Behaviour Teaching Assistant to support complex primary aged students with challenging behavioural issues. You will be working with these students in 1:1 and group settings and supporting staff with safe guarding and risk assessment strategies.

We are looking for a flexible candidate that is willing to support school staff and pupils with supply work – both short term and long term. A desirable candidate will have a full driving license and their own transport or be willing to travel up to an hour on public transport.

We are looking for someone:

• With a strong and resilient personality in what can be a very challenging role.

• Who has the passion and desire to have a positive impact on a pupil with behavioural and emotional needs.

• With recent experience in an SEN, SEMH or educational setting.

We have a number of clients across Wakefield and the candidate that we are looking for will be working in an SEMH setting. These schools can be particularly challenging so we need somebody who is resilient and committed to helping these students.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
