Youth Workers required in Dagenham for KS1-KS4 Behaviour Pupils

A lively Special School in Dagenham are looking for long term and ad hoc Teaching Assistants to mentor students who have been excluded from mainstream schools or young people who have been in care or residential settings.

The candidates will have an advantage if they have Team Teach training, however the successful candidates most importantly will have the right attitude; be pro active, taking initiative, being flexible and ultimately have a passion to work with students who have behavioral difficulties as well as students on the Autistic Spectrum.

Working as a Teaching Assistant here, you will be required to support the students within the classroom settings on a 1:1 basis being committed to supporting their academic development in a confident , consistent manner.

The suitable candidates will have the following:

• Experience with PRU students, SEN and/or educational environments

• Passion to work with Autism , Behavioral difficulties and students from a vulnerable background

• Confident personality

• Team Teach training

• Any relevant experience with Physical Intervention, Counselling or Youth Work

• Immediate start dates available in January (Monday – Friday, 8.30am – 4pm)
