SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) Teaching Assistant needed in Hammersmith & Fulham

Teaching personnel are looking for an enthusiastic learning support assistant (teaching assistant) to join an outstanding Ofsted rated primary school based in Hammersmith.

The school is large, vibrant, and pride themselves on providing pupils with a welcoming environment where all children, staff and the wider community feel welcome, respected and valued.

You will be assisting a boy in year 4 with severe social, emotional behavioral difficulties. He takes a while to warm up to new people so being a nurturing, strong individual is essential.

The school are looking for someone who is very firm, focused on raising attainment levels and liaising with his parents.

The desired candidate will need to have experience with at least one of the following:

• Dealing with Challenging behaviour in or out of school setting

• Mentoring

• Youth/Community/ Outreach experience

• SEN experience- SEMH, EBD, MLD, SEN, ASC
