SEMH Teaching Assistant required in Middlesbrough

  • Do you hold a UK recognised Teaching Assistant qualification?
  • Do you have experience with SEMH/EBD?

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a Provision in the Middlesbrough area that are looking to recruit experienced Teaching Assistant’s with experience of working in a behaviour setting.

The successful applicant will have a minimum of 3 months experience working within an SEMH provision to KS3 and KS4 students with challenging behaviours. A good knowledge of EBD & SEMH and the ability to differentiate and adapt is essential. Although not mandatory Team Teach qualification is desirable.

The provision is easily accessible from the A19; free on-site parking is also available at the provision.

Our ideal candidate will have:

• A UK recognised Teaching Assistant qualification

• Experience working with young people with SEMH/EBD

• Team Teach Qualification

• Pro-active with excellent behaviour management skills

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
