Teaching Assistants Experienced in Behaviour Required in Sunderland

At Teaching Personnel we work with a number of PRUs and behavioural schools in and around the Sunderland area. We are looking for Teaching/Support Assistants who are confident working with children who can present extreme emotional and behavioural problems, among other SEN.

You must be able to react quickly and de-escalate unpredictable situations calmly. It is vital that you have a calm and empathetic nature with the ability to relate to children who may demonstrate extreme behaviours. You will need to be forward thinking and flexible to adapt to various situations. Experience with challenging behaviour is not necessary.

CPD Opportunities :

Teaching Personnel work in partnership with a variety of leading, nationally recognised CPD providers, such as National Association of SEN, National Autistic Society, Rush Miskin, Team Teach and Educare. These partners deliver an extensive range of career developing opportunities to you, covering areas such as; Accredited Team Teach, Understanding and Supporting Children and Adults on the Autism Spectrum, Data Handling, Assessment for Learning and Child Protection in Education.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
