SEN Teaching Assistants, LSAs and Nursery Assistants wanted for daily work in SEN School in West Drayton

  • SEN Teaching Assistant work on days you are available to work
  • 1:1 and small group support of pupils in mixed SEN classes starting in September
  • Competitive rates ranging from £55 - £70 per day dependant on Special Needs teaching experience and training

A Special Needs School based in West Drayton are looking for SEN teaching assistants with autism, severe learning difficulties and/or physical disabilities experience for roles starting in September. The school provides for primary, secondary and Post-16 aged pupils diagnosed with autism, severe learning difficulties, social and emotional difficulties and physical disabilities. All classes within the school are mixed but tailored to each pupil’s abilities and subject levels.


• Must be able to travel to West Drayton/Uxbridge area (West London)

• Must be able to work 8:30 am – to 4:00pm during school term time on the days that you are available

• Experience working in a Special Need School is highly sought after

• Must have experience and/or interest in supporting children and/or young with autism, complex needs and/or physical disabilities

• Must be confident in supporting children with Maths, English and core subjects

• Knowledge of autism specific visual aids such as PECS, TEACCH, symbols and sensory resources highly beneficial

• Being open to supporting pupils with personal care/nappy changing and moving and handling

Competitive rate ranging between £55 – 70 per day dependant on Special Needs experience and training (rates can change according to school feedback)!

A valid DBS with Child Only Workforce registered onto the update service is required in order to secure this job.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
