Teaching Personnel work closely with an Accrington based school which caters for pupils aged 7-17 with social, emotional and mental health difficulties and quite often these pupils display challenging behaviours, they are likely to be both verbally and physically aggressive.
The School is based close to the M65 near Accrington and Rossendale and the school is a pupil referral unit. The School is smaller than average and many of the pupils have 1:1 support workers due to their behaviour.
The role is full time and is likely to be long term if not a permanent position. The role will start on an ad-hoc basis and the candidate will be working on a supply basis initially. The candidate must be experienced in working with children who can display challenging behaviour and ideally the candidate will have their team teach qualification.
The candidate must be hard working, flexible, have a 'can do' attitude and be confident when working with pupils who are often verbally and physically aggressive. The candidate must be willing to start work on a supply basis and the pay rates will range from £48-60 per day.
