Teaching Assistant, Liverpool

  • Do you have experience of working with pupils with challenging behaviour?
  • Do you have experience of supporting pupils in KS4?
  • Do youhave experience of support pupils on a 1:1 basis?

Due to a staffing restructuring of our partner Pupil Referral Unit, there is an immediate need in September for a SEMH teaching assistant to join their team. The desired teaching assistant is for a position on a 1:1 support basis with a young child with SEMH needs who displays challenging behaviour during lessons.

- £50 - £60 per day, paid on a weekly basis

- Well facilitated Pupil Referral Unit

- Support from welcoming department and experienced senior leadership at staff

- Working with a student on a 1:1 basis, encouraging participation in education

Our client is a small oversubscribed Pupil Referral Unit located on the outskirts of Liverpool. The Unit was recently refurbished and renovated, and a state of the art learning support unit

Job highlights as a SEMH teaching assistant;

- Supporting young students on a 1:1 basis during their studies

- Ensuring focussed learning is taking place in all lessons

- Monitoring and tracking behaviour throughout placement
