Behaviour Teaching Assistant, Ormskirk

  • Would you like to work as a Behaviour Teaching Assistant supporting pupils with SEMH difficulties?
  • Are you a graduate or sports coach with experience in working with pupils with Social, Emotional, Mental Health Difficulties or Challenging Behaviour?
  • The support and training in this Ormskirk Pupil Referral Unit Secondary school is excellent and there are a number of roles on offer for the right calibre of graduate or sports coach both as a Teaching Assistant or that of a behavioural mentor.

Behaviour Teaching Assistant- The School

This is a Secondary Pupil Referral Unit School which caters for student with social, emotional, mental Health difficulties and very challenging behaviour. The school strives to achieve the greatest learning potential with a positive ethos and aims to change the course of behaviour for pupils.

Behaviour Teaching Assistant – Person Specification

In this Behaviour Teaching Assistant role, you must be willing and passionate and have had experience of working with secondary aged children. The school wants a Teaching Assistant who is confident and can quickly establish strong relationships and bring an enviable supply of enthusiasm. The successful candidate will be, enthusiastic and have a passion for helping student with behavioural difficulties. The school want to meet applicants who have a desire to pursue a career in education, with an appreciation and understanding of putting their full potential into this Teaching Assistant role.

Behaviour Teaching Assistant - Role

As Behaviour Teaching Assistant you will be working across the whole school. Your responsibilities will include working closely with a number of students on a 1:1 basis. By working with multiple students across the whole class you will ensure that no child is left behind and all of them have the support they need.

Behaviour Teaching Assistant - Location

This school is located in Ormskirk, a short drive from the A59. There are also bus stops located near the school for Behaviour Teaching Assistants who are using public transport.
