Teaching Personnel are currently working with a secondary behavioural school in Ormskirk who require a teaching assistant from after February half term until the end of the academic year. They are looking for a teaching assistant to work with students who have social, emotional, mental health difficulties and challenging behaviour.
The School
• Provides full-time education for pupils who have been permanently excluded from mainstream schools and support for those at risk of exclusion because of their behaviour, or who have poor attendance records, or have missed significant periods of education.
• Provides education for pupils with SEMH difficulties, ODD, ADHD and ASC
• The cohort is predominantly male however male and female pupils are in attendance
Requirements
The pupils at this school do have very challenging behaviour and so any TAs who apply need to be able to manage verbal and physical aggression. You do not need to have experience of working within a SEN school however you do need to have experience of working in a school or setting with challenging children or adults
