Are you currently looking for a full-time teaching role in a specialist provision?

One of Teaching Personnel’s partnership schools in Brighton is looking for a SEMH Teacher to join their team and make a difference to the young people they support. This school works for children aged 11-16 with social, emotional, and mental health issues. The pupils all come from mainstream education but due to their specific needs they require additional support within a specialist provision.

The ideal SEMH Teacher will:  

  • Be a fully qualified teacher with QTS, ideally with experience teaching multiple subjects
  • Be able to plan and deliver fun and interesting lessons that hold the attention of the students within the class
  • Be committed to working with children with SEMH needs 
  • Be experienced in working with challenging behaviour
  • Be enthusiastic and keen
  • Be able to provide feedback in accordance to EHCPs of the individual children in the school

In this role as an SEMH Teacher, you will:  

  • Plan and deliver lessons to small classes covering a wide variety of subjects
  • Act as a role model for students and reinforce expectations  
  • Support children’s learning to help them to reach their full potential 
  • Work with other staff to continue to help each student with their individual needs

The role is based in Brighton and is easily accessible by car and public transport.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
