SEMH / SEN Teacher – Permanent or Temp-to-Perm (Stoke)
Location: Stoke (Multiple sites)
Pay: £150 – £200+ per day (or equivalent salary for permanent)
Start Date: ASAP or January 2026
Contract: Permanent, or long-term with temp-to-perm options
School Type: Two independent SEMH schools
Teaching Personnel are working with two independent SEMH schools looking to appoint resilient, passionate SEMH/SEN Teachers for long-term or permanent roles. These schools support young people with complex needs, trauma backgrounds, and high levels of behavioural challenges—meaning your impact will be genuinely life-changing.
Small class sizes, strong therapeutic approaches, and excellent pastoral support make these fantastic environments for the right educator.
Your Role:

Teach small classes of 6–8 pupils with SEMH and behavioural needs

Plan and deliver tailored lessons focused on engagement and progress

Build strong relationships and provide consistent emotional support

Work closely with therapists, pastoral leads and SENCOs
-
Support pupils’ regulation, confidence and behaviour management
-
Promote attendance, engagement and personal development
We’re Looking For:
-
QTS (or relevant post-16 teaching qualification)
-
Experience working with SEMH, ASD, trauma or challenging behaviour
-
Someone calm, patient, and relationship-driven
-
A flexible teacher who can adapt their practice to meet varied needs
-
DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
