Role: Learning Support Assistant

School: All-Age Special School

Location: Weston-Super-Mare

Salary: £54-65 per day

Teaching Personnel is seeking a learning support assistant for an exciting and challenging role in Weston-Super-Mare. You will be working with students with additional educational needs as well as social, emotional, and mental health issues. In this role you will be supporting students on a 1:1 basis as well as supporting small class sizes. The ideal candidate will need to be extremely resilient, enthusiastic and engaging; you will also need to be able to support a student's individual learning plan as well as support the student's independent learning.

This role is available on a long-term basis as well as a part-time day-to-day basis.

The ideal candidate:

  • Support a students bespoke educational plan and independent learning
  • Maintain classroom ethos and support the teacher
  • Be resilient, enthusiastic and engaging

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
