Job description

- Permanent full time post supporting students with social, emotional and mental health issues who can sometimes display challenging behaviour.

Teaching Personnel are working closely with a Secondary school in Cardiff to appoint a teaching assistant to support students within the school who have additional learning needs. The role would include: 

- Working on a 1:1 basis and small group basis with students 

- Assisting the class teacher in engaging students and managing classroom behaviour 

- Intervention to ensure they are progressing well academically 

- Participating in actvities and extra curricular projects

- Building positive relationships with students and encouraging them to reach their full potential 

- Working closely with other teaching assistants and class teachers to track pupis' progress 

 

This role is full time based in Cardiff and the hours are 8:30am - 3:45pm.

No experience necessary however experience of working with children previously is beneficial.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
