Teaching Assistant Needed in South Tyneside!

As a result of demand from one of our secondary schools in South Tyneside, Teaching Personnel are recruiting a Secondary Teaching Assistant to join the Learning Support provision of one of our partner schools.

About the Role:

• Full time role commencing February 2002, initially until July 2020 with the opportunity to become permanent for September
• Delivering small group and 1:1 work to students with Special Educational Needs(SEN)
• Scribing and providing revision support to Key Stage 4 pupils during the exam season
• Working primarily with pupils with Dyslexia, MLD, ASD and ADD, however experience with other needs would be beneficial
• Modern secondary school with excellent facilities and support provisions
• GBP1250 - GBP1350 per month
• South Tyneside based secondary school, easily accessible from the A19 and A184

The successful Learning Support Assistant will work with students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) on a 1:1 and small group basis. They will provide differentiated support both inside and outside of the classroom to assist students with any general learning needs. Duties will include running specific programmes and activities to assist the pupils’ individual learning and social needs as well as providing overall support to the classroom whilst the teacher is delivering planned lessons.
