Secondary Teacher for SEN School Required in Northumberland

Job description

Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit a SEND Teacher experienced in supporting students with a wide range of special needs including ASC, MLD and SLD for a SEND school in Ashington. This role is to commence ASAP and will continue up until Summer, with the possibility of a permanent contract.

Ideally applicants would have experience teaching pupils with SEND in a SEN school setting. Additional qualifications such as Team Teach and Moving and Handling are desired but not mandatory. We would also welcome applications from Newly Qualified Teachers or Teachers with mainstream Secondary experience.

Our ideal candidate will have:

-6 months experience teaching ASC, MLD and SLD pupils in a SEND setting

-Up to date Team Teach and a good understanding of SEND

-Adaptable across subjects and a good curriculum knowledge, particularly in English and Maths

-Qualified Teacher status with a good understanding of differentiation and behaviour management

-Patient and nurturing mannerism
