Teaching Personnel are excited to be seeking a SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) Teaching Assistant at one of our partner SEN provisions in Cambridge.

Working Hours

  • You must be available to work from 8.30am until 3.30pm.
  • Full-time and part-time positions available

The Role

You will be working with pupils aged between 11-16 years, playing a key role in ensuring pupils stay engaged in their learning as well as encouraging them to take part in class activities.

For this position, we require an individual who is confident to manage the behaviour of SEN pupils.

Some duties will include:

  • Promoting and assisting with the learning and development of the pupil(s) you are assigned to
  • Encouraging pupils’ confidence and independence
  • Managing behavior
  • Preparing learning resources, as directed by the Teacher


Working in SEN, no two working days will be the same with multiple opportunities to work 1:1, in small groups or larger classes with SEN pupils.
