Job description

Teaching Personnel are currently seeking a fully qualified teacher (FQT) specialising in Science to work at an independent specialist SEMH provision. The school was awarded an 'Outstanding' status by Ofsted in July 2017, catering for pupils that demonstrate complex and challenging behaviours. Some of which will have associated learning difficulties and lack of confidence engaging with education and their peers.

The school is situated in the New Forest, specifically Lyndhurst and is accessible by car and public transport, however having access to your own methods of transport are preferred.

In this role, operating as a Secondary Science teacher you will be required to create and teach core Science subjects to pupils working to educational levels KS3 & KS4. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years teaching experience at the Secondary level, specifically in a SEN or SEMH setting. The right candidate will be professional, flexible and will contribute to the improving standards of the school and pupils education. This post is for a long-term temporary role, with the possibility of extending to permanent basis.

Qualifications/Training:

  • PGCE / QTS Status
  • Bachelors degree in Science or related degree
  • Team Teach

You must also be adaptable as you will be working in various schools and you will have strong behaviour management skills. You will also ideally be available to start immediately until the end of the 2018 / 2019 academic year.
