Job description

An opportunity to work in a Bournemouth secondary school as a Teaching Assistant has arisen to start in January 2019

Situated on the Bournemouth & Poole border, this comprehensive 11-16 mainstream secondary school caters for students of all abilities in the Bournemouth & Poole area. The school are looking to employ a dynamic, positive and committed teaching assistant to work in learning support, starting full-time in January 2019.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be a subject specialist in English (with and A-Level and/or degree in English) though this is not essential.
  • Have recent experience working with 11-16 year olds
  • Be able to forge meaningful and professional relationships with young people
  • Be flexible and resilient

In return the school offers:

  • Pay between £54-£60 per day, depending on experience.
  • Regular, fixed term-time only hours (ideal if you have childcare or other commitments)
  • Support from an experience learning support and senior leadership team
  • Regular opportunities for CPD and learning & development.
