Teaching Personnel currently have a long term opportunity for a professional, hardworking and flexible Cover Supervisor to join our client secondary school located in Oldham, Greater Manchester.

What is a School Cover Supervisor?

The role of a Cover Supervisor involves covering whole classes during the short-term absence of teachers in school. All work will be set but you will need to respond to questions, maintain good order and keep students on task, to ensure the highest possible standards of achievement and personal development for every pupil. Cover Supervisors are asked to deliver pre-set work left by the teacher, ensure all work is completed and collected at the end of the lesson and effectively manage the classroom behaviour.

  • Full time Cover Supervisor
  • Teaching 11–16-year-olds in secondary school
  • No experience needed – training provided to teach
  • GBP10.20 per hour (weekly pay)
  • Flexible full-time/part time available

Previous experience in a similar role would be desirable but is not essential as full training and support will be given. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in a secondary education setting as a full teaching qualification is not needed for this role.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
