Science technician role - Lewisham School - November 2019.
Secondary school based in Lewisham seeking a Science technician for full time position starting from November 2019.
Rate: GBP70 - GBP90 per day.
Teaching Personnel are working closely with a large Secondary school based in Lewisham to source a Science technician for a full time position starting from November on a long term / perm basis.
This school is a busy, thriving and ambitious school. Pupils’ examination results have been recognised by OFSTED and the Department for Education as ‘Good’. Job description:
- Supporting the preparation of apparatus, materials and solutions, and setting up equipment
- Reporting to the Senior Technician
- Cleaning and routine care of apparatus and equipment to ensure a high standard of safety and hygiene
- Participation in the organisation and storage of equipment, apparatus and materials, including chemicals.
- Stock checking and replenishment of laboratories as advised by Teaching and Technical staff
- Preparing, setting up and removal of equipment for practical examinations and in the provision of a technical service during practical examinations
- General upkeep of the laboratories and in general laboratories tidiness
- Interaction with staff and pupils to help deliver the Science curriculum.
