Science Teacher / Science NQT + TLR - Outstanding Catholic Secondary School - Lambeth

Easter 2019 - £130 to £245 a day.

An 'Outstanding' Ofsted graded Secondary School based in Lambeth are looking to recruit a Science Teacher / Science NQT ahead of Easter 2019 on a permanent basis. This Secondary School is renowned for its remarkable GCSE & A Level results throughout the whole of London. They have a huge Science Department, with 14 Science Teachers & 3 Science Technicians, providing support and guidance throughout.

The Head Teacher has opened this Science Teacher position to both experienced and Newly Qualified Science Teacher (NQT). Additional responsibility will be provided throughout the Science Department to the correct Science Teacher, ranging from KS3,4&5 Coordinator, 2iC and Learning Leader. The School have a proven successful tailored NQT induction, that has supported and developed a range of Outstanding Science Teachers.

Job Description

  • Newly Qualified Science Teachers (NQTs) welcome to apply!
  • A specialism in Biology, Physics or Chemistry would be desirable
  • Tailored NQT induction available

  • Permanent Contract - Easter 2019 - Full Time
  • MPS1-UPS3 - £23,720- £39,406 + TLR (Size depending on experience)

Person Specification

  • Must be an enthusiastic Scientist, that is keen to inspire young minds
  • Biology, Physics or Chemistry specialism is desirable
  • Strong understanding of the Science curriculum is essential
  • You must hold QTS or being in the process of obtaining
  • Must be able to work effectively as part of a large team of Science Teachers
