Job description

The role will be to provide specialised support in the Science department within mainstream classes at Key Stages 3 & 4 e.g. helping to set-up scientific experiments for the lessons. You will also be expected to plan and deliver intervention sessions with small groups.

Other job duties;

  • Provide support to the Science Technicians to prepare equipment for the lessons.
  • General maintenance of scientific experiment.
  • 1-to-1 support with identified pupils.
  • Managing apathy to learning and the behaviour of pupils effectively.
  • Covering Science lessons in the absence of a teacher.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
