Science Teacher/ Teacher of Science

Due to a restructure within the Science department our client secondary school in North Manchester is currently seeking a teacher of Science to join their faculty on a full time basis from February half term.

This is a mixed 11-16 comprehensive secondary school located in the North of Manchester City centre, the school is situated close to the M62 and is easily accessible via the surrounding areas Bury, Rochdale and Salford.

Based in North Manchester, our client school is a large secondary which was newly built in recent years to serve the local community. The school was previously on separate sites, but merged into a purpose built state of the art site a few years ago, with a focus on teaching and learning in its design to serve the diverse catchment area and allow students to fully access the curriculum. The Head teacher and management have reinstated the importance of high teaching standards, having a positive impact on student's behaviour and attainment.

The ideal Science teacher will have;

• UK QTS or relevant teaching based qualification specialising in Science
• Previous experience teaching Science at KS3 along with their specialism at GCSE
• Firm behaviour management and ability to quickly build rapport with students
• The ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons which encourage participation in Science
