Science teacher September 2019 start based near Stoke Newington

Teaching Personnel's client school based in Stoke Newington are looking for a Science teacher to join their school from September 2019.

Based in the Stoke Newington area the school is Outstanding and is looking to maintain this title throughout the next academic year. We have been working with this school for a number of years and they look for passionate and committed teachers and are happy to train and support new teachers who enter the school.

Our client school is looking for Science teacher who will proactive and can be relied upon to help raise attainment and grades across the academic year.

About the school- Science teacher Stoke Newington September 2019

The school is located in the Stoke Newington area and is easily accessed by train and bus with parking on site. Our client is a mixed secondary school from KS3-5 with the sixth form in its own department. The school is large and spacious in a leafy and residential area, with cafes and other amenities located near by.

The school has recently been graded Outstanding and wants to keep this accreditation throughout the next academic year. Ofsted quoted the school saying, "students have positive attitudes to learning, they are proud of their school and parents support this view".

The school is looking for ambitious and passionate teachers to start in the science department.

About the role- Science teacher Stoke Newington September 2019

You will be teaching science from KS3-5 and you will have a full teaching timetable with some time allocated to marking and planning each day. You'll work with the Heads of Department and other teachers to plan inspiring and effective lessons, as well as prepare students for any upcoming exams. Also you will occasionally communicate with parents to ensure they are aware of targets and progress.

Requirements for this role

  • PGCE in Secondary Science
  • Science related degree
  • Previous experience working in UK secondary schools (London schools preferred)
  • 2 suitable references
  • DBS update service or willing to apply
  • Able to start in September 2019
  • Passionate about teaching science
