Teaching Personnel are delighted to be recruiting for a Science Teacher on behalf of our partner 11-18 secondary school in South Manchester. This exciting Science teaching position will begin from January 2019 and is for a minimum of two terms. Further, there is a possibility of a fixed-term/permanent contract being offered to the successful Science Teacher after the initial supply period:

• Full time Science Teacher vacancy
• Delivering Science lessons to Key Stages 3 & 4
• Experience of teaching Science to Key Stage 5 is preferred, although not essential
• 'In 2016, the overall progress of the pupils leaving Year 11 was in the top 10% nationally."
• Pay in line with MPS/UPS dependant on experience (£22,917- £38,633)

The role-

Due to a current gap within the Science department, Teaching Personnel are working alongside our partner secondary school to source the appointment of a Science Teacher. This unique position represents a fantastic opportunity for a Science Teacher to work in a highly reputable school who consistently achieve results above the national average. There is a sixth-form provision on site so there may be opportunities to teach to Key Stage 5 also.

Our partner secondary school are currently graded GOOD by Ofsted and have held this status for a number of years. It is larger than the average size with over 1500 pupils on roll. Due to the large numbers, there is a wide range of pupils from diverse backgrounds and the number of pupils who speak English as an Additional Language is slightly higher than the national average.

It is located in South Manchester offering easy access to the surrounding areas of Levenshulme, Didsbury and areas of Trafford. There are also direct public transport links that stop directly outside the school.
