Science Teacher - September - South Gloucestershire
Job description
This vacancy has now expired. Please see similar roles below...
Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for a Science teacher on behalf of our client, a Secondary school in South Gloucestershire.
Are you creative, enthusiastic and highly motivated to teach? Can you captivate a classroom and get children excited about Science? We want to hear from you!!
About the role:
- This role will begin in September
- It is a full time position for the academic year.
- The pay rate can be expected to be between £110-165 a day - dependant on experience.
Both QTS and NQT status will be accepted for this role.
Biology, Chemistry and Physics teachers should all apply. If you are able to teach A Level this is advantageous but not a requirement - however the successful candidate should be confident with both KS3 and KS4.
As this is a full time teaching role the successful candidate will be expected to full immerse themselves into the Science department and take on all the responsibilities of a teacher - lesson planning and marking included. These responsibilities will be reflected in the pay.
The successful candidate will be confident leading a class and be able to engage the pupils well. Good behaviour management is also desirable for this role.
The School:
The school itself is a Secondary school in the South Gloucestershire area - It is worth noting that if you live in South Wales you should also consider this position as it is easily accessible from the M4/M5 motorway network.
The school has a 'Good' OFSTED rating for behaviour. However the rest of the school does require improvement.
Since the report "inspectors have recognised that the school is improving but have asked that they accelerate the pace of change, especially to improve teaching".
The successful candidate should be confident in the fact that they will be able to contribute to these improvements and improve the level of teaching.
