Requirements

  • An outstanding Grammar school in the Richmond area is currently looking to Core Subject teachers, specifically Science, who hold UK recognised teaching qualifications such as PGCE or QTS.
  • This Science teaching position would be full time and a permanent role, with teachers required to teach physics, chemistry and physics up to key stage 4 and specialise at key stage 5
  • Newly qualified teachers would be considered for this position and do not require extensive teaching experience beyond their PGCE placements.
  • Fully Qualified Teachers would require experience teaching Science at secondary level (from KS3-KS5) for at least a full academic year.
  • The successful candidate will be expected to have good behaviour control.
  • All applicants require an Enhanced Child Workforce DBS, on the update service, along with two graded (performance based) references from education experience
  • Any experience with SEN would be welcome, but not required.

About the role

  • The secondary school based in South West London are looking to hire teachers with experience at Key Stage 3 to 5.
  • This specific role is full time, starting in September, and would be until the end of the academic year, working on a long term basis.
  • Interviews for the position will be commencing over the next month as the school look to secure their staff for the new academic year as soon as possible
  • Pay rates will be dependent on experience and education and will vary between £120 and £230 a day.
  • Staff are expected to engage students with innovative lessons in line with the National Curriculum whilst having good behaviour control.
  • Teachers will be expected to plan and prepare lessons as well as marking, assessing and providing feedback on the students work.
  • Teachers who are willing and able to work in the school as general cover would be ideal, but not necessary.
  • The ideal candidate would be willing to participate in school activities or extra curricular activities; any experience with SEN would be welcome.

About the School

The school looking to hire is based in the Richmond and is steeped in history, with its origin dating back more than 100 years. Despite the historic nature of the school it has newly developed building with modern facilities, including 3GX pitches, fully equipped ICT suites, Smart White Boards, SIMS and many others.

The Leadership are looking to develop the depth of the Science curriculum and are looking to hire teachers with strong subject knowledge above all else. There are positions available for two strong Science teachers who can work at KS3-5 level, with one of these positions open to Newly Qualified Teachers (a large amount of experience is not necessary for this specific role).

Alongside the facilities, aimed at assisting the students' learning, the school ensure classes have sufficient support staff to manage behaviour and provide all children with the opportunity to succeed.
