The School
Teaching Personnel have a long standing relationship with this School in Godalming. The school has an average of 100 pupils on roll. They cater for boys and girls with Social Emotional and Mental Health needs with additional special needs such as Autism and Complex Learning Needs who have either been excluded from mainstream education, or are unable to access mainstream education. The school is set in ideally situated 56 acres of wooded grounds with ample space for recreational activities in the Surrey countryside therefore candidates that can drive are more ideal but the bus stop is about a 20 minute walk to the school. The School has an in-house team of qualified therapists offering Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Sensory Integration and has achieved an Autism accreditation.
The Job
Through Teaching Personnel, you will be working as a Science Teacher working with KS3, 4 and 5. You will be responsible for termly topics across your class of 4-8 students and also 1:1 intervention to boost attainment levels. With a number of resources on hand and a very supportive Senior Leadership Team, you will be sure to fit in! As a Teacher of Science you will be an outstanding classroom practitioner who consistently demonstrates the highest standards of delivery, is fully committed to raising attainment across all key stages and acutely aware of the strategies required to achieve the highest standards within their subject area.
Minimum Requirements
- UK Qualified Teacher Status or Overseas Equivalent
- Previous experience working in a similar School setting, or evidence of strong Behaviour Management - A passion and enthusiasm to see pupils achieve their best potential
- Dedication to the needs of all your pupils, working with other staff members to offer emotional and academic support - A Child Only DBS on the Update Service, or one done through Teaching Personnel

Candidates are required to work full time 8.30am-15:30/16.30pm depending on training days.
