Are you an experienced teacher of Science seeking a position for the new academic year? Teaching Personnel are currently working collaboratively with an academy in central Northampton that is looking for a Science teacher to join them in January. The school cater for students' aged 11-18 and place strong emphasis on Mathematics and Music as well as its excellent pastoral system, which they believe is central to producing resilient and confident learners. A brand new school building was opened in 2016 with state-of-the-art facilities including a large sports hall, two floodlit five-a-side astroturf pitches, three outdoor netball courts and a newly refurbished multi-gym. These facilities mean that students are given access to a full range of sporting activities. The school are looking for a dynamic individual with experience teaching Science to KS3 and KS4. The pay rate for this role will fall between £130 and £170 per day.

The role will involve:

  • Planning and delivering diverse lessons which are suitable for varied ability levels
  • Manging the classroom and dealing with behaviour issues effectively
  • Working alongside the department in order to ensure attainment levels remain high and progress is monitored
  • Being able to motivate young people and encourage them to perform to the best of their abilities
  • Strong subject and curriculum knowledge

  • Child only DBS on the update service
  • 2 recent references
  • Right to work in the UK
