A vibrant and inclusive Northampton based Secondary school are currently seeking a teacher of Science to join them on a full time basis starting September 2019. The school has experienced recent success with the last set of GCSE results being the best in their history as well as increasing numbers joining the Sixth Form and going on to attend prestigious universities. "This upward trend is certain to continue" claims the Principal who is looking for a passionate Science teacher to support and facilitate this progression.

The successful applicant will be teaching Chemistry, Physics and Biology to Key Stage 3 and GCSE students on a full time basis. The ability to teach one of the three Sciences to A Level would be advantageous. NQT's are welcome to apply for this role. This position will initially last for the full academic year; however there is an opportunity for a permanent post if you show a real desire to progress. The responsibilities for the successful Science teacher will include:

• Expected to lead a full-time table delivering inventive Science lessons; planning, preparing and evaluating all class work.
• Effectively teach the National curriculum within the school's Teaching and Learning Policy.
• Develop schemes of work, resources, teaching and learning strategies, contributing to the monitoring and evaluation of all pupils.
• Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

As well as a supportive working environment in the school, Teaching Personnel will provide you with guidance from a specialist consultant, as well as a number of opportunities to continue your professional development through our CPD academy. The Pay Rate for this role will fall between £130 and £180 per day, however is open to negotiation.
