Science Teacher needed in Blackburn Secondary

Job description

Teaching Personnel are currently working with a school in the Blackburn area to recruit a Science Teacher to start with immediate effect.

The Blackburn based Secondary school is a highly successful provision, with over nearly 1000 pupils, based in a central location with excellent access to public transport links. In the most recent Ofsted inspection the school was judged to be 'Requires Improvement'; however Leadership in school was judged to be 'Good'. The head was commended for having a clear vision for improvement and making a significant impact since the previous inspection.

They are seeking to appoint a science teacher for the remainder of the academic year due to a long term staff absence. Although initially covering a temporary absence they are expecting to appoint a permanent science Teacher in September 2019.

To be considered for this role applicants should:

  • Have Qualified Teacher Status
  • Have a suitable science related degree
  • Be able to reach the Blackburn area
  • Have experience delivering up to GCSE level or be an NQT with the potential to develop an outstanding classroom experience
