Teaching Personnel are recruiting on behalf of a secondary school based in Christchurch, Dorset. This vibrant school is seeking a Science Teacher to join their department in February 2019. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic and forward-thinking team and contribute to the overall development and success of the school.

We are looking for a Science Teacher who:

  • Is an outstanding classroom practitioner & has high expectations of pupils and their learning
  • Has knowledge of effective strategies to raise attainment and progress & can work well as part of a team
  • Is confident teaching at key stage 3 and key stage 4
  • Is creative and constantly looking for ways to engage and inspire pupils
  • Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of the National Curriculum
  • Has good organisational and classroom management skills
  • Has excellent communication skills
  • Is willing to be flexible

The chosen candidate will be responsible for:

  • Delivering engaging lessons
  • Working in partnership with the Science department to ensure seamless delivery of the curriculum
  • Assessment of pupil's performance within lessons.
  • Providing reports and feedback
  • Direction of teaching assistants/learning support.
  • Classroom/Behaviour management in line with school policies and procedures.

Candidates must hold Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent and have experience teaching in UK schools. The school welcomes applications from NQT's.

Candidates must be able to fully commit to the role which is full time, Monday to Friday on a maternity contract. Commencing 21st February 2019 until the 21st July 2019.

You will be required to hold an enhanced DBS disclosure.
