Science Teacher, Knowsley

Full-time Science teacher required to cover a maternity gap within the Science department of our partner Secondary school in Knowsley, Merseyside, from October 2018.

The school wish to meet with interested Science teachers prior to half term in order to appoint and induct the incoming Science teacher in plenty of time easing the process of induction to the schools teaching faculty.

  • Pay in line with MPS and UPS scale - £23,720 - £39,406
  • Starting in October until July 2019
  • Teaching Science to students aged 11-16

The school require a passionate Science teacher who is able to join the school on a full-time basis in October. You must have experience teaching Science at GCSE level and be able to use effective and varied teaching methods in order to push your students to achieve excellent results and hit their target grade.

You will be responsible of a full-time Science teaching timetable which will include classes of mixed abilities and GCSE classes. The role will include full planning and marking responsibilities and you may be required to take extra curricular classes in preparation for key GCSE exams in the summer.

Our client school currently has around 1100 students on roll and is currently going through a transitional period. You can find the school in Knowsley, Merseyside and easily access it with a short drive from the M62 & M57. The school is in an ideal location if you are a user of public transport and can be easily accessed from train or bus.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
