Science Teacher for academic year 2019

Due to a member of staff retiring within the Science department, the head of department is looking to appoint a confident and proven attainment raiser in September. The ideal candidate will be confident delivering highest quality teaching practice and hold a previous record of delivering 'Good' or 'Outstanding' lessons. You will be required to lead both Key stage 3 and 4 classes and be able to motivate pupils of all abilities to achieve above and beyond their target grades.

The successful applicant will be joining a vibrant and friendly department led by a supportive and well experienced head of department, who promotes the use of team planning. The department have a shared vision based on ensuring that all pupils receive the highest quality of teaching and learning. If you are a driven and motivated teacher who is focused on the development of their pupils this is the perfect position of you.

The school are looking to appoint a teacher of Science with the following:

  • QTS and a PGCE specialising in secondary Science
  • Ability to teach all pupil abilities across key stages 3 and 4
  • Influence and motivation to deliver engaging and interactive lessons
