Science Teacher

Are you a qualified Science teacher able to teach Biology up to KS4 and available for work in January 2019?
Teaching Personnel are seeking an experience teacher of Science to join our partner school in the borough of Tameside. The successful Science teacher will join the Science department in January 2019 and will be required for two academic terms (until July 2019). A specialism in Biology is desirable but not essential however the ability to teach up to KS4 Biology is essential.
The successful Science Teacher will be passionate about their subject, committed to academic excellence and have the ability to motivate, support and inspire students. Due to a temporary gap in the department, the successful Science teacher will join an established department with a friendly, dedicated team who achieve excellent results and will teach Science at key stage 3 and 4 GCSE across all abilities.
- Full-time position commencing in January 2019
- Temporary fixed term contract for two academic terms January - July.
- All areas of Science - Biology up to KS4 is essential
- MPS/UPS (£23,720 - £39,406)
Our partner school is located in a small town in the Borough of Tameside, Greater Manchester, England, five miles east of Manchester city centre. The school is a high performing successful 11-16 school with a reputation for academic excellence. As a result, the school is popular and oversubscribed. In their most recent Ofsted inspection the school were rated Good in all areas including achievement of pupils, quality of teaching, behaviour, safety of pupils, leadership and management. Not only this but, in their most recent inspection by the Salford Diocese rating them as an Outstanding Catholic School.
